Cedar Springs is centrally located to all Canadian Rocky mountain activities, in the historical town of Canmore, and is just over an hour's drive from Calgary International Airport. Banff Town is approximately a 15 minute drive west and world famous Lake Louise is just 30 more minutes beyond that. Climate: We are situated at an altitude of 1200 metres, nestled below spectacular mountain ranges, and are blessed with a unique mountain climate. Our summers are surprisingly warm, ushering in the scent of wildflowers and frantic wildlife activity. The winters are cold, crisp and dry with crunchy snow underfoot, except when a Chinook blows in (a warm west wind) releasing winter’s grip and turning the air balmy and springlike.

ACTIVITIES TO ENJOY IN CANMORE AND THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS
Canmore hosts an extraordinary amount of events throughout the year, more than we can possibly illustrate here. Here are just a few...
Take to the trails at the Canmore Olympic Nordic Centre (cross-country ski them in the winter, or mountain bike them in the summer). In winter they host the Rocky Mountain Ski Marathon and other national and international events, and in summer the 24 Hours of Adrenaline mountain bike event is not to be missed. The Canmore Folk Festival is extremely popular and attracts visitors from all over the world, as does the Canmore Highland Games. Later in the year the Festival of Eagles traces the migration route of the golden eagles across the Rockies.

Or try fly fishing, horseback riding, glacier walking, hiking, white water rafting, canoeing, helicopter sightseeing, gondola rides, cross-country and downhill skiing, amongst others.
